President Rodrigo Duterte capped off his first official working day for 2018 by doing what other Filipinos love to do: singing karaoke.
A photo shared by Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go showed Duterte holding a mic, seemingly focused on singing.
Go captioned the photo: “After a busy day.”
Duterte sang his heart out after meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Rethno Marsudi at the presidential guest house in Panacan, Davao , and having a meeting with cops and firefighters.
While Go did not say what songs the President sang, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he belted out a few lines from the classic OPM hit “Ikaw.”
The song was what Duterte sang at the gala dinner of the ASEAN Summit in November 2017 upon United States President Donald Trump’s prodding.
He also sang “Ikaw” with singer Jonalyn Viray during the Department of Labor and Employment’s 84th anniversary in December last year.
